Why is there a negative connotation when we say "I am gonna be honest with you". We should welcome that statement.
I don't sacrifice honesty for politeness.
We over analyze conversations rather than simply ask the other party for clarification.
At times we are scared of being judged and want to present ourselves in a way that "we think" others like. We portray digital/online happiness while we are not happy.
Often we can have any so called sensitive conversation as long as we do it we a sense of curiosity and not trying to prove ourselves right or the other party wrong.
Being sensitive about something is a set of thoughts. We need to think if it makes sense to be sensitive/value something or not. E.g. what is wrong with someone asking your age, how much you weigh or how much money you make and so on.
At times we have to set goals to meet eg have to catch a flight you need to be on time otherwise you miss the flight. Other times there is no need to force yourself into a tight schedule and rather you need to change behavior and keep going, e.g. losing weight. The most important thing is the behavior change. as long as you see weight loss is happening in a reasonable way.
Should you follow what you like or what you are good at? "liking or passion" are feelings and can be changed at any time. But on the other hand some of our abilities are simply due to how our brain is wired e.g. being good at memorizing stuff or understanding math and algebra, or hands on traits. We can't change these inherited traits as easy.
First one should decide what's their main purpose in life, a "mission statement", then the smaller goals can be aligned to get there.
What are the things that kill your passion:
1. When you say "I don't care".
2. When you don't get good at something and don't succeed. Success fuels passion more than passion fuels success.
3. Lack of need. When you start feeling comfortable with where you are in life. You may need to create a new goal.
You are not born with passion, you create passion. Don't find your passion, learn how to become passionate about the things that make your life better.
Passion is what you want to do vs what you have to do. If passion takes control of you, it's an addiction.
Passion should make life better. Toxic passion damages your life more than improving it.
